Advent's reading program is called Reach for the Stars!

.......Here's the plan:
The parent rewards the student(s) with a star sticker on each day that she/he has "read" a book or magazine for fifteen minutes. The child should place the sticker on the appropriate date of her/his calendar. As each month ends, the student will bring the reading calendar to class for display in the classroom and the teachers will offer lots of praise and encouragement.

Yes, there will be a Reach for the Stars reading party to celebrate our students' reading accomplishments early next year! The teachers will explain this program to the students. Our goal is to develop an enthusiasm for reading for each child; thus our approach is upbeat and low-stress! We hope yours will be the same. Thank you in advance for working with us!
