Philosophy

Advent provides a nurturing Christian program designed to expand the child's interest in learning through creative instruction and social interaction with friends. Our teachers promote a lighthearted environment to encourage emotional, spiritual, and personal growth.

Classes

We have one pre-school class for students 3-years-old by the starting date, and one pre-kindergarten class for 4-year-old students.

Terrific Twos

Students registered for our 3 Year-Old Class who start in the fall of 2008 are welcome to enroll in Advent’s introduction to pre-school on these 4 Mondays in the spring: DATES: March 31, April 7, 14, 28 (No class April 21) TIME: 9:30-11:00 a.m. CLASS SIZE: 12 or less (subject to minimum enrollment) TOILET TRAINING: Not required until September COST: $40.00 for series of four classes. Checks may be made payable to Advent Pre-School

Group Size

There is a maximum of 20 students per class. Classes are taught by experienced teachers and supported by an assistant teacher.

Schedule

Three days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

Tuition

Tuition is $1,450 per school year 2008-2009. This is payable in ten payments of $145 each; due July 15, August 15, etc. through April 15, 2009. The second student in the family enrolled simultaneously receives a 10% discount. Hours

9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
We have a Stay for Lunch option offered 2 to 3 times a month until 1:00 p.m. for an additional fee.

School Year

We generally follow the Council Rock School District calendar.

Curriculum

Diversified activities include development of large and small motorskills, hand-eye coordination, math readiness learning, and listening practice -- all through stories, games, finger-plays, art, crafts, videos, and play. Interactive music instruction, outdoor fun, school trips, special visitors, and holiday festivities are featured.

Facility

Our facility has a cheerful playground, large windows and skylights, computers, a piano, a large activity room, audio/visual and projection equipment, and gymnastic apparatus.

Registration

Applications are processed on a first come, first served basis. Registration will be complete upon receipt of the application form (click to view and print application) and the $50 non-refundable registration fee. This will hold a place for your child until July 15, when the first tuition payment is due. Your child must be toilet trained to attend the school. We expect that he or she will attend for the entire year. Exceptions should be reported promptly to the director. Please call 215-355-2529 for more information about the application.

Newsletters

Newsletters are sent home monthly to keep parents posted on current classroom highlights and future school events, including field trips, the Stay for Lunch schedule, and special programs.
